Dwellers

The number of the dwellers is around 1000 recently, the most of them belong to the roman catholic religion. The 22.6 % of people have German and 13.4% have Slovak nationality or speak the corresponding languages in accordance with the census of the population in 1990.

Educational and cultural institutes

The kindergarten, established in the seventies, was set up to give home for three groups. The conditions are given for bringing up the children and between 3 and 6 getting German education corresponding to their age.
The schooling of the eight classes is based on the German gentilic curriculum in the regional primary school. The professional cooperation between the kindergarten and the school is said to be good. The nearest secondary schooles are situated in the eight-kilometer-far Dorog and furthermore in Esztergom. The near universities: Vitéz János Roman Catholic Teachers Training College Esztergom (10 miles), Pázmány Péter Catholic University Piliscsaba (14 km).
The village library have 10.000 volumes of books and the community centre serves the habitants' needs, as well.

Health and social supplement

The basic health supplyment is ensured and said to be appelaing in the settlement. The healthcare services are done by a private medical adviser, a health visitor, a paediatrist and a private dentist in the local well equipped health centre. The specialists and the hospitals are placed in Dorog and Esztergom. The pensioner's lodge established in 1989 has got a wide field of activities including the up to date healthcare programmes.

Infrastructure

The water is delivered by the regional pipeline system since 1985. The developed system is suitable to satisfy the far-seeing needs in the future with the existing water accumulating capacity. The village is well supplied with energy carriers.
The natural gas was introduced in 1995 in Dág. The 80% of people have chosen this modern and environment-friend way of energy consumption and the local self-government also managed to modernise the heating in the public institutes.
Intrioducing the telecommunication system in 1997 had got a great influence on the developement of the information system.
The sewering system was finished by the spring of 1996 to protect the ground water with a facility to connect all real estates.

Traffic

The Nr. 1106 road connects the settlement to the road Nr 10. The settlement is easy to approach by bus, the nearest railwaystation is in Dorog (5 miles).

Employment

Jobs are provided by regional and local commerce, the recently increased nuber of self-employers, the local agricultural sector and the industrial plants of Dorog, Esztergom and Budapest.

Sport

Our oldest civil association is the Sport Club of Dág (Dág Községi Sportegyesület) which was founded in 1947. The volleyball branch is succesful in the first and the second class National Championship, as well. The village is also succesful in chess, our players won the regional chamiponship nine times in the last ten years. The football also has got a great tradition.

Leasure, free time

There is a great number of new and old wine-cellars being close to the village on the hillsides giving leasure and rest facilities in a natural environment. Our smaller extent forests deserve mention by all mens thanks to their attraction of  people due to the natural vegatation variety. The sports filed is also a favorite place to have a rest providing a relevant green area for the village.
